Executive Chef - Alexander Fries Executive Chef Alexander Fries, originally from Germany, joined Jebel Ali International Hotels in August 2010, following several years with world leading hospitality organisations in Germany, Malta and Dubai. His career started in Hamburg, the heart of Germany, after graduating from hotel school in his home country. Alexander gained and developed a large knowledge base from his experiences in leading cities, whilst travelling around the world from the Mediterranean to South America, in 5 star hotels and restaurants. Having worked in Dubai for the last 5 years he has now taken on his first Executive Chef Position in 2010 and has found within Thyme Restaurant and Bateaux Dubai, a natural home to his boundless creations and enthusiasm for cooking. Alexander believes that “Food is all about beautiful ingredients embracing creative passion from the heart”.
